Tears
How many tears can one person cry? Are they infinite? Does a person only have so many to give in regards to another person? There’s probably some scientific answer out there. Some scientist who has measured somebody's tears in a beaker and put a mathematical equation to it. But there are different types of tears. Tears for pain, tears for happiness, tears for memories, and tears for old wounds reopened. Millions of reasons for a person to cry really.

Down the Gopher Hole
“I got it!” I yell over my shoulder as I run to retrieve the ball. I couldn’t believe it when Tucker Thomas knocked on my dorm door and asked if I wanted to fill in for Michelle. I couldn’t say no while looking into those emerald eyes –or tell the truth that I am no good at sports of any kind. I managed to hold my own for the first round, but I guess it was just a lucky streak. Jonathan hit the ball like a future Babe Ruth, sending it flying over my head and into the woods that surround our little field.

Secrets Secrets
“Hun, did you pick up my allergy meds today?” Guy asks as he walks in the front door. I carefully get up from the couch and walk toward the foyer. Son of a lying dog thinks I went out of my way to pick up his medicine? Tempering my anger, I place my hands on my hips and glare at him.

Magic Mirror
What the ever-loving crap? How long has this been on my forehead? I grab the bar of soap from next to the sink and scrub at the word ‘Lame’ as I try to think when it could’ve been written. I didn’t fall asleep in any classes today. Did I look in the mirror before bed last night? I must’ve, right? Grabbing a washcloth, I soak it under the faucet and aggressively rub the soap off. Odd, the soap and the rag come away clean. Looking back into the mirror my reflection still has the words blazing back at me.
