Golden Angel's Cosplay
*May contain curse words, anime spoilers, and paraphrasing. Direct quotes are indicated with quotation marks* Cosplay, or costume play, is an ever-growing community in all corners of the world! Since the term was coined in 1980s Japan, this pastime has grown farther than its anime roots and into anything from pop-cultural references (Disney cartoons give a lot of inspiration) to fantasy timelines (I'm looking at you Steampunk) and everything in between. Cosplay is a performance art in its own right and a unique way for individuals of all ages to express themselves freely.

I'm Not Sure What You Want to Hear
Dear Other Human, I thank you for your interest in dating me but there are things you must know before we continue. To begin, there is no guarantee I will agree to anything romantic. By romantic I mean going on a date or giving you any contact information for me in order to get to know me better for a date. I may have several hundred reasons for turning you away and I doubt there's any real issue there. Maybe I am not attracted to you, or I don't have time to spend with you, or anything else. There are lots of reasons for me to say no to your advances.

Anxiety Isn't Simple or Dramatic, It's Real
Staring down the final week of high school is both exciting and terrifying. Sitting here, the anxiety has officially hit me hard. My stomach is starting to feel fluttery, my heart is beating harder than normal (at least I can feel it on an intenser level), my breathing is getting tighter and tighter, my hands are shaking, and I can feel random muscles tightening. All signs of my anxiety starting up for no rational reason.

Yes I Am a Snowflake
Yes I am a snowflake Not because a generation thinks I'm coddled. The same generation that taught me I was an individual with my own special traits. The same generation that bribed me with participation trophies and stickers for doing what I was supposed to do. That's not why I'm a snowflake.

Blue and Proud
A sense of pride fills me as I watch the men in navy blue march past. I know none of them, but I have my own. I’m blinded for a moment by the light dancing off the shining metals and pins, recognizing several. I remember all his stories from growing up and smile beside myself.
