How to Build a Homemade Sex Machine

Don't have a lover? Don't feel like using your hands? Build a homemade sex machine instead.

There's a sexual kink for everyone, and for some kinksters, there are communities that would blow your mind. I ought to know; I'm a hardcore kinkster, and have attended several munches to find similarly likeminded play partners.

Out of all the different fetishists I've met, kinksters who have a DIY bend to their interests are often the most interesting. These are people who use "pervertibles" or even go so far as to build a homemade sex machine for themselves.

Admittedly, I'm interested in having a sex machine I don't have to feed in the house. So, I decided to look into what it takes to make your own sex machine.

Depending on which type of machine you want to make, it's actually not that hard to do. If you've ever wanted to make your own fucking machine, here's what it'll take.

Sex machine builders tend to be people who have specific reasons why they want to do this. These reasons can include:

  • They can no longer have sex with their partner and they want to find a way to please them. The kinkiest sex toys for couples to experiment with is a common way that people discover they are into sex machines.
  • They don't want to deal with one-night stands. Another common reason why sex machines are awesome; they don't require cab fare at the end of a session.
  • A sexual fetish is at the center of this project. Just like some people find feet to be sexy, some people find the idea of machine sex to be extremely appealing. Scientifically speaking, this fetish is called mechaphilia.
  • A business interest may be at play. Some groups who do porn want to have a homemade sex machine as a central theme in their shots. Others want to make and sell their machines.

The reasons vary greatly, so you can never assume one thing or another about a person who wants to create their own fucking machine.

Chances are that if you've already been considered buying a sex machine, then you have probably already looked up prices for a pre-built machine. If you haven't, let me clue you in.

The average sex machine costs hundreds of dollars. High-end sex machines can easily run as much as $500, $700, or even $1,000 a pop. They don't come with a warranty, either.

Sex machines are luxury adult toy items. If you want to save money and possibly figure out ways to fix your machine if it breaks, you will need to build your own.

Most people want a sex machine that will thrust a dildo in a long, linear motion, but that's not the be-all, end-all of sex machines. Depending on your sexual preferences, you can switch up attachments and styles.

Some machines actually will use fake vagina attachments to allow men to have the sensation of having sex with a woman. Others will have blowjob attachments.

If this is your first time trying to make a DIY sex toy for women, I highly recommend that you use a popular kit, such as the Drilldo kits being sold on Amazon. These allow you to make a sex machine out of a power drill, and are really easy to assemble.

More advanced builders may want to look online for DIY plans.

If you're the type of person who has already had experience building other goods, then you might not need to stick to something like a Drilldo. Your options are actually pretty open.

Many people who want to take a leap into this will go onto sites like Orgasm Alley to find sex machine plans and parts for sale. This is a good intermediate level project for people who love getting crafty with their love lives.

Think about the type of machine you want to build when you're choosing plans. Are you looking for a thrusting motion? Something that you can just bend over and let rail you? What about one where you just need to sit down on it in order to enjoy?

The most advanced builders might already have the engineering prowess to figure out how to build a homemade sex machine on their own. If you fit into this category, you probably just need help finding parts.

Either way, once you choose your plans, make sure you read them through.

Buy your plans and your main machine parts.

Finding sex machine parts and plans isn't really easy, but it can be done.

A lot of niche fetish sites offer machine parts that are specifically linked to the sex machine plans they sell. I strongly suggest getting your parts and plans from a reputable seller.

You really need to look for companies that are well-rated by other kinksters. Not having good parts can cause injury, and not having good plans can mean that all the parts that you just bought will be worthless.

You can't really build a homemade sex machine without a part that you can have sex with. So, if you've bought the instructions, it's time to find the attachments you want to use with your machine.

Most sex machine kits, including the Drilldo, work with Vac-U-Lock attachments. These use an air vacuum to keep your sex toys in place, which in turn, prevents injury.

If you choose to use Vac-U-Lock toys, you're going to also need to get this attachment featured above. After all, you do have to keep your dildo attached to your equipment, and these machines go fast.

So, let's say that you're an advanced builder who might have spent their day-to-day time working on machines. Great! You might need to have some inspiration for the sex toy design you want to create.

Investigative journalist Timothy Archibald created a book called Sex Machines, where he photographed and interviewed sex machine makers. The interviews are brilliant, and the sex machine photos can help you figure out what you need to do for your own toy.

Follow the instructions that your sex machine plans give you.

I can't really explain how to build a homemade sex machine from scratch, simply because there are so many ways to do it. You can just stick a Vac-U-Lock dildo on a power drill, sure, but if you want some of the more intense machines out there, you will need go for a bigger kit.

Every kit, at least those that come from a reputable dealer, will have instructions to follow that are clear, concise, and take out guesswork. Follow the instructions, and for your own sake, don't skip steps.

Speaking from a safety perspective, I'm a strong fan of giving a test run on homemade sex toys before they end up being used on a person. Prior to getting a person to try it out, turn the machine on and wait for 30 seconds.

If your sex machine has multiple speeds, try it out at every speed. This gives you a good idea of how the machine will act before you end up making a fucksaw fucking machine and causing yourself some pain.

Once you learn how to build a homemade sex machine, you get to test it out on yourself—if you so choose, of course. Like with any other sex toy you could try, make sure to use common sense.

When working with a sex machine, it's a good idea not to go full speed immediately. A lot of people who use sex toys find that it's best to have a toy partially inserted before they turn it on, depending on how the toy is built.

Using a sex toy that's meant for full insertion? Treat it like a dildo and use a toy-appropriate personal lubricant on yourself and the attachment before you begin.

Have fun!
