Why 'Game of Thrones' Loves Porn Stars

For such a widely viewed and, might I add, socially accepted show, there sure are a lot of tits and ass in Game of Thrones. And not just naked girls, but generally rough sex. Hold on a second, isn’t that what porn is always slated for? Then who better to cast as these naked bodies then porn stars themselves? I have to hand it to the casting directors, casting porn girls for nude roles and sex scenes in a mainstream television production is a genius plan. We are comfortable with nudity and sex, and it’s not awkward or hard for us to imitate these things. I was also told, upon my first time on set, that I made the other girls who hadn’t done nude scenes before feel more comfortable, because I was so comfortable with being naked.

Auditions

I was first called to audition for Game of Thrones during the casting process for Season 3. At the time the show was still one with more of a cult following. At this point I hadn’t watched any of it. I am one of those irritating people that enjoys reading the book first and then pointing out fatal floors to the on screen adaptations.

Although I did walk in on my brothers watching it once, mid Kahl Drogo roughing up Daenarys, and I was intrigued.

I didn’t get the part in Season 3 because, despite being very bendy, I was not bendy enough. I didn’t think much of it at the time. I was then called back to audition for Season 4, and by this point the buzz around Game of Thrones was enormous and I wanted this part more than life itself. I was away at the time and couldn’t screen test, so my friend shot a video on my phone of me in a bath tub while she read the script at me. I was sure I wouldn’t get it, I felt ridiculous sending off this bath tub, camera phone audition tape. I was told I would hear within a few days, I heard nothing, I emailed and they told me it was between me and another girl, I waited a few more days and still heard nothing. To say I was disappointed was an understatement.

Filming

I flew out to Spain the next week to shoot four scenes. As I waited in Barcelona airport baggage claim, my phone turned on to reveal three voicemails. They were from Game of Thrones' casting team, telling me they wanted me for Season 4 and asking what airport I wanted to fly from, because the shoot was in two days. I called back and told them I was in Spain, panicking that I had made a horrible decision by going there. They simply told me they would book my flight from there. I then managed to shoot all 4 scenes in under two days and fly out to Ireland for what would be one of the best experiences of my life.

Being on a set like that is like nothing I have ever experienced, porn sets can range from a dude with a camera in a hotel room to a 30 person crew in an elaborate location but NOTHING prepared me for the Thrones set.

After spending the night in a beautiful hotel I was picked up at 5:00 AM to be taken to hair and makeup. I was dropped off at my trailer (my own trailer with my name on the door) and I immediately began freaking out. I couldn’t believe I was there. The overwhelming pressure of being an adult star in the mainstream is that you are not only representing yourself, but an entire industry with so much stigma attached.

The filming was a blur. I do remember that I ate a lot of cake, though. Also, after spending almost 12 hours in a pool with washing up liquid in it (to keep it green), it is important to note that you eventually turn gray. I love porn. When you are successful and well known in the adult industry, being on set is a dream. You are treated like a queen and it's amazing. But in my entire career, stretching over almost 10 years, I have never been treated as well as I was by Game of Thrones. Every little detail was correct, every moment you are looked after, every cut you are touched up by your own personal makeup girl and given a robe to stay warm. Food and drink is constantly offered. It was an incredibly long day but it didn’t feel like it. I could do that every single day, and I hate repeating myself. I never saw myself acting because my attention span is not that great. I get bored during 20 minute TV shows and drift off to do other things. Imagine what it must be like to have me on set for 16 hours, repeating the same lines. But with Game of Thrones I didn’t care, it didn’t feel like I was repeating myself. I fell in love with the cast, and crew, and location. I fell in love with the hair and makeup girls, the hotel, the trailer, I fell in love with the wardrobe department, the long bus rides to set at 5:00 AM, the feeling of being in this cool weird Game of Thrones family. Everything about it was an experience I wanted to relive.

Back for Season 5

I left feeling high on life, but also sad that my Game of Thrones experience was over. I met some incredible people and all the main characters in the show were so humble and down to earth. It was everything I had ever hoped for.

I cherished my part in Season 4 with all my heart, so you can imagine how excited I was to be called back for Season 5. I was at Sonisphere festival in the UK, having breakfast with my friend when my phone chimed. I opened my emails to see "We loved what you did in Season 4 and would like to have you back for Season 5." The part was bigger, with more scenes and a dress made especially for me, that would later get a lot of press attention. I moved to Budapest for the rest of the summer to work and spent a good few weeks flying back and forth from Budapest to Ireland for fittings and hair tests. I ended up shooting three episodes, but my most memorable was the Daenarys whore. I was so thrilled to be in a scene with Peter Dinklage, I was genuinely a bit starstruck when he walked on set. My dress was a copy of an outfit Khaleesi wore in a previous episode, but with the entire back end missing. It was mildly nerve-racking to know that my ass was on display and that it would be the center point for the entire scene.

Maisie Dee

British-born Maisie Dee has always had a place in my heart. I first met her in Amsterdam around eight years ago when she was producing for one of my first ever girl/girl scenes for Abby Winters. Maisie had been a little while retired from porn when I met her, but it was she who originally put me forward for Game of Thrones. So I owe her a lot more then this shoutout. Not only is she lovely, funny, and a general delight to be around. She is also incredibly talented, Maisie impressed the writers so much with her original audition for the show, that a character in Little Fingers brothel was created especially for her. Unfortunately "Daisy" met her ending at the hands of King Joffrey, dragged off screen and never seen again, and we can only assume the worst.

Sahara Knite

She also played one of Little Fingers whores (he has all the fun, right?) named Armeca. Sahara Knite, also now retired, was a popular Indian porn actress from the UK. Not only beautiful, filthy, and in Game of Thrones, before porn Sahara worked in the fashion industry for over six years. I’ve actually never had the pleasure of meeting Sahara. Though we both live and work in the UK adult industry, which is surprisingly small, our paths have never crossed. I think she retired just as I was making my first waves. I have had a cheeky peek at her work though. Can you blame me?

Sibel Kekilli

Playing probably the most prolific role of all of us, born in Germany to a Turkish family, Sibel may not have made a very big mark on the porn industry, but she made her mark in Game of Thrones. She played Shae, the whore that Tyrion Lannister fell in love with. She, like most other well loved Thrones characters, was killed in a brutal manor at the hand of Tyrion himself. I cried my heart out watching that scene.
