Sexiest Songs About Female Masturbation

There have been a surprising number of sexy songs about female masturbation—some of which you never realized were discussing the subject. Surprised?

Artists love to discuss things that matter to them. That's why there are songs about drinking, songs about death, and even songs about smoking weed in spades. But, all those topics are nowhere near as popular as the topic of good ol' S-E-X.

Music and sex seem to go hand in hand, particularly when it comes to modern pop culture. Heck, even the term "rock and roll" originated as a euphemism for sex, so to a point, it's just obvious that sexuality will come up. It's to be expected, right?

What most people never expect, though, is how many super sexy songs about female masturbation have skated underneath the radar throughout the decades. Would you have ever guessed that these hits were about girls showing some self-love?

You remember that really hoarse-sounding lady who sang that song that goes, "I try to say goodbye and I choke, try to walk away and I stumble...?" Yeah, I'm talking about Macy Gray, that one singer that seemingly vanished off the face of the Earth after a while.

Surprise! Apparently, she's not done making music—and she's one of the many ladies who released sexy songs about female masturbation on this list. "B.O.B" in this song stands for "Battery Operated Better."

If the acronym doesn't bring the whole euphemism into light, the official music video featuring dancing sex toys will. (On a side note, the video is done in the style of Blue's Clues and it's kinda unsettling when you notice that, but it's a good video regardless.)

Sexy songs about female masturbation are released fairly regularly—including this one by Hailee Steinfeld that was debuted in August 2017. With a title like "Love Myself," it's pretty clear that she's talking about self-love. If you were doubting it's about female masturbation, don't worry, the lyrics speak for themselves:

"...know how to satisfy, keeping that tempo right without you..."

Guess she doesn't need a battery-operated lover, eh?

Really, we can't talk about sexy songs about female masturbation without talking about the biggest hit to be made in this category: "I Touch Myself."

The entire song is as 80s as it gets, and yes, it's about a glam rock-styled chick who is fantasizing about a guy she likes. The song talks about her being willing to "get down on [her] knees," and that she wants him on top of her.

It really doesn't get any more obvious than this during the 80s, right?

Here's one of the sexy songs about female masturbation that may have flown right over your head: "Feeling Myself." At first glance, you'd think they were talking about feeling confident in their music or personality, but then you hear these lyrics...

"Bitch, never left but I'm back at itAnd I'm feelin' myself, jack rabbitFeelin' myself, back off, cause I'm feelin myself jack off."

And then you realize that, yes, while the two lovely ladies are bragging about having tons of money, diamonds, and kilos, they also might be talking about masturbation in this song, too.

Either way, we're feelin' it.

Oh, Toni Braxton. She knew how to turn up the heat when she made sexy songs about female masturbation. Her song, "You're Making Me High" involved sexy crooning vocals, a bunch of euphemisms about how turned on she is, and how she wants to get undressed whenever she thinks about this guy.

Yeah, we've all had that person we want late at night—and Braxton's hit definitely personifies that feeling. It's one of the best songs about masturbation from that era, if you ask me.

Goldfrapp's high, Blondie-like vocals definitely lend themselves to making one of the top sexy songs about female masturbation in the electronica genre. If you read the lyrics, it becomes clear that she's writing a love song to her vibrator.

"Strict Machine" is one of the only songs on this list that's contested, but when you hear lyrics about the machine "sending her a buzz" it becomes clear that her "wonderful electric" lover is a vibrator.

Then, of course, if you watch the video, you'll probably notice the genitalia-like animations and the fact that there's a lot of vagina-like constructs definitely lend credence to it.

Admittedly, there have been a lot of sexy songs about female masturbation that involve sexy lyrics or allusions to the best vibrators on the market. (Just look at how many of these lyrics involve mentions of Rabbit vibrators, and you'll see what I mean.)

Perhaps one of the most sultry songs on this list is "Kicks" by FKA Twigs. Ethereal vocals, breathy pauses, and some seriously explicit lyrics about fantasizing would make anyone a little randy listening to this.

The Waifs' "Haircut" is one of those sexy songs about female masturbation that was basically written to be a scathing diss track to an ex who apparently wasn't that good in bed.

The lyrics, once again, really do speak for themselves:

"So now when I make love I make love to myselfI got no disease so it's good for my healthI got my hands in my pants, down my Calvin KleinsI don't need you no more baby, I can come every time."

If there was ever a soundtrack for a rage wank for girls, this would be it.

To a point, it probably was mandatory that Prince make sexy songs about female masturbation. The guy was famous for having seriously sexual imagery in his music, and this is very much the case with "Darling Nikki."

Prince literally says that he met "little Nikki" while she was masturbating with a magazine. The song goes on to say that Nikki ended up seducing the guy, but left him in the morning before he could wake up.

Topping it off, in the video, Prince mimicks a girl dry humping a pillow, because of course he does.

Carmen Electra's pet project, The Pussycat Dolls, was known for being one of the sexiest girl bands of the late 90s and early 00s. "I Don't Need A Man" is a song that sounds like it's a female empowerment anthem, because it is.

However, it's also on the list of sexy songs about female masturbation because it has lines like, " I don’t need a man to make me feel good. I get off doing my thing," and "I can get off when you're not around."

Empowering, sexy, and with Carmen Electra singing. Yep, that's awesome in our books.

Of all the sexy songs about female masturbation on this list, this is one of the most obvious. What's really surprising about this song is that it wasn't released in the 90s. Suzie Seacell released this in 1979, right when female masturbation was still extremely taboo.

This makes it one of the oldest songs on this list, and also one of the most daring. This leaves nothing up to the imagination at all, and unsurprisingly, it was actually part of a comedy record released as a novelty.

It's still really catchy though.

The 80s seemed to be when the music industry discovered female masturbation—or at least the era when many people decided to try to make sexy songs about female masturbation. One such song is "She Bop," by pop star princess, Cyndi Lauper.

As you'd guess, the "She Bop" is actually a euphemism for masturbation, because girls just wanna have fun. The lyrics make it pretty clear that she's over the whole idea that girls shouldn't masturbate, wouldn't you think?

"Hey, hey, they say I better get a chaperone,Because I can't stop messin' with the danger zone. No, I won't worry, and I won't fret,Ain't no law against it yet.Oop, she bop, she bop."

The music video is hilarious, especially with the new definition of SWAT she came up with: Suburban Wives Against Transgressions. If that isn't some stigma-mocking, I don't know what is.

The early 90s had a lot of sexy songs about female masturbation in hip hop, but few were quite as memorable as "Oops." It's all about a girl who feels so turned on by a guy she met, she had to just get busy the moment she got home.

The lyrics said it all:

"I looked over to my leftMmm, I was lookin' so good I couldn't reject myselfI looked over to my leftMmm, I was feelin' so good I had to touch myselfI looked over to the leftMmm, I was eyein' my thighs, butter pecan brown."

Wait, is this a song about the first time you "love yourself" as a girl? Might be, if you read the full lyrics to the song. If you're an older Millennial, then you already are probably shocked.

Those of us who grew up in that era got our introduction to the fact that other girls masturbate thanks to this song. (Or, in cases like my own, you completely missed that it was about masturbation and thought edgy popular kids were trying to make us look like idiots.)

Seems like the Queen Bey wasn't the only member of Destiny's Child to produce a hit song about "feeling yourself." Her sister, Kelly Rowland, produced a 2011 release called "Feeling Me Right Now," and yes, it's one of the many sexy songs about female masturbation to come from a sexy female singer.

"If feeling her ain't right, then I guess I'm way too wrongCause can't nobody match this loving, yeah, yeah, yeah"

Seems like she found love in the club...with herself. (Maybe she got an OhMiBod?)

Don't be fooled by this frosty song title—Tori Amos knows how to make seriously sexy songs about masturbation. In this case, it's about a girl who decides to sneak in a secret self-love session while others are nearby.

More specifically, she's talking about masturbating while feeling judged for wanting self-love. It's a pretty sensitive, intense critique on the religious stigma surrounding female masturbation, all while painting some sexy imagery.

Most people already know a handful of sex-related Britney Spears songs off-hand, but would never guess she's made a couple of sexy songs about female masturbation. Believe it or not, she did.

The reason you never heard them is that they were never released as singles, and any music videos you find are tribute videos done by fans. In other words, these songs received no promo.

The majority of the other songs she's done on the topic are pretty debatable, but one definitely can't be about anything else. "Touch of My Hand" is the obvious one, and it's all about her getting ready to try some female masturbation techniques.

It seems like a lot of top female pop stars have written sexy songs about female masturbation—and yes, that includes Lady Gaga. This collaboration piece between her and Beck actually involves stanzas that mention both male and female masturbation.

The lyrics are pretty tame compared to others, but it's pretty clear what's going on:

"Hurts inside, but not this timeAll the things that are on my mindVanish as I touch myselfCall out loud for youOh, can you hear me singin'?"

This is some of her newer music, but somehow, it skated right under the radar for most of us.

Here's another "deep cut" about female masturbation you might not have heard before. Nothing quite says "this is a song written by a girl who masturbates" like hearing a confession that the singer masturbates to a man's songs, right?

Last on this list is a punk rock example of sexy songs about female masturbation from none other than Peaches herself. This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who knows about Peaches; she's one of the most sex-positive feminist rockers out there.

With a name like "Diddle My Skittle," it's pretty clear that the song is about flicking the bean—and the lyrics back it up. So does the gritty, punk rock music video.
