#Lovewins. On June 26, 2015 the Supreme Court finally ruled that states lack any legitimate reason to deprive gay couples of the freedom to marry. Openly gay celebrities like Ricky Martin, Ellen Page and RuPaul took to social media to show their happiness and support when the law was passed. Although this decision is long overdue in aspects of basic human and civil rights, the Supreme Court had to sift through a lot of information from both sides of the argument. The decision opened the door for many people who had been closeted and hiding their true sexual orientation, but others have been honest about themselves for a long time. Thankfully, the Supreme Court has realized that marriage is about love, not about gender. These 15 out and proud LGBTQ celebrity Instagram and Twitters’s give us an inside look as they document their next business venture, travel plans and family life. With marriage equality for ALL, Filthy has compiled 15 of the best LGBTQ celebrity social media accounts to follow.

Jussie Smollett

As an actor and singer, Jussie Smollett is best known for his role as Jamal Lyon on Fox’s breakout show Empire. On the show, Jamal is a gay musician who struggles to get his father’s approval. Before Empire, Smollett had a leading role on a show called The Skinny, which was a LGBT-themed comedy-drama. He discussed his sexuality during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres for her talk show in March of 2015 and confirmed that he is gay. At the 2015 BET Awards, he made a powerful speech about marriage equality, saying “We live in a nation where freedom is what we represent, yet we are still fighting everyday for the basic freedoms of all of our people. Let the Supreme Court ruling be proof of how far we have come. Let the deaths of our sisters and brothers be proof of how far we have to go. No one is free until we are all free.”

Caitlyn Jenner

A one time Gold Medal winner of the men's decathlon competition at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada and father of Kendal and Kylie Jenner and step-father of the Kardashians, and now a trans woman. Some might disagree with a decision to add Jenner to the list but aside from her Keeping up with the Kardashians, she has been viewed as being disconnected and out of touch within the trans community. Though she did make many unspoken transgender issues a more international conversation, she still receives much criticism due to her public endorsement of the Republican Party, whose core principals are the complete opposite ideals of the trans community. So for some, her criticism is completely legitimate and called for. Apart from her political stance, Jenner was the first openly trans woman to appear on the cover of Vanity Fair. Following her “coming out” by way of Vanity Fair, she has seen her celebrity status rocket. In her reality show I Am Cait, she helped expose social issues and political obstacles facing the trans community while trying to bridge awareness and acceptance to the world.

Anderson Cooper

The #SilverFox and host of CNN’s A360, Anderson Cooper is not only known for being the first openly gay TV news anchor in 2012 but a New York Times bestseller list author and the son of Gloria Vanderbilt. Yes she’s that Vanderbilt, the one with those famous jeans and family. You know the designer jeans in the 1970s that everyone couldn’t get enough of and the family that helped build America? That lady. After college, Cooper tried to make his own way apart from the Vanderbilt legacy through pursuing a career in journalism. Fun fact: Cooper interned with the CIA for two years but later decided on a path towards media and journalism. Another fun fact: His name didn’t really get him any help gaining access to the media industry, so he decided to ask the help of a friend in making a fake press pass. Sometimes a queen has got to do what a queen has got to do. With his fake pass, Cooper began working as a fact checker for the small youth-oriented news agency Channel One. Later landing a job as a correspondent for ABC News and a short stint as the host of the reality show The Mole. In 2002, he became CNN's weekend prime-time anchor after co-anchoring alongside Paula Zahn on American Morning. Since 2002, he has hosted CNN's New Year's Eve special with Kathy Griffin from Times Square. On September 8, 2003, he was made anchor of his own show Anderson Cooper 360°.

With worldwide success, Drag Race created a drag-frenzy and served it to the the masses. RuPaul’s aim for creating Drag Race was to expose the drag scene to the world all while creating a space where other’s like him can aspire to be who they want to be. To him drag is about performance. It’s a space to be someone different, it's not about being a woman, it's all about playing and poking at gender all while making fun of yourself. After age twenty-seven she decided to retire from acting to pursue a degree in fine arts only to be interrupted with an amazing offer to co-host with The View. It's funny how art imitates life, her character on That's So Raven was a brassy, bold, and outspoken girl and in real life she has shown that she is—so Raven—on The View. Regarding her sexuality, she took to twitter to say: "My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm dating's to know. I'm not one for a public display of my life." Symone came out in 2013, saying she actually is gay while commenting on the legalizing of gay marriage in several new states, “I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to.” Despite her racial origin and her same-sex relationships, she refuses to self-identify as either African-American or bisexual, but as an "American" and as a "human who loves humans." Oh that Raven, she’s so Raven!
