Head In The Clouds Part 2

Too High To Come Down

Chills went through my body at the thought of King's big strong hands on my soft smooth skin as we made passionate love on his custom California king bed. King was my dream guy but unfortunately, I got stuck with the second best, his brother Shawn. They were just so different sometimes it irritated me. My means of pleasure were interrupted by Shawn coming in to tell me that he and Tray were going to see King about some business. I already knew what that meant, Shawn used King as a pawn to see if he still can pull girls so I decided to throw him off.

"Okay baby, I'm going too, give me ten minutes," I said.

"Nah baby, we good, you don't have to go," Shawn said.

"I'm going anyway. I missed my brother-in-law anyway. I'll be done in a second." I said washing off, trying not to laugh as he slammed the door in irritation. Ten minutes passed and I came down dressed and ready to go. Grabbing my keys, I looked at Shawn and Tray.

"Y'all ready to go? I'm driving." With a satisfied smirk on my face, I locked the house up as they went to get in Shawn's all black BMW convertible. I pulled off and after a few minutes, around twenty actually, we were at King's house. It was a sight within itself, a six bedroom three bathroom beautiful home with a huge pool and jacuzzi. Even an attic that was a lounge and a basement that was turned into a game room. We got out and went inside since Shawn had a key and started looking around for King. That's one thing I loved about their relationship, the bond and trust was inevitable between the two of them. We found King in the kitchen counting money while his mom was making something to eat. I shook my head and laughed as I went over to her first hugging her tight from behind.

"Good morning, Mrs. Tyler," I said giggling as she hip bumped me.

"Hey Diamond, how's my future daughter-in-law?" It took everything in me to not throw up at the thought of spending the rest of my life with Shawn. Don't get me wrong I love him but how can you make a commitment to someone when you're basically craving their sibling? It's wrong on so many levels but for now, I'll play it off.

"I'm good ma, what are you cooking up?"

"Oh, just some pork chops smothered in gravy some collard greens some candied yams some fried potatoes and corn bread." Mrs. Tyler replied.

"Man mama, you throwing down huh?"

"Well, I need my babies well nourished so they can be at their best and you know what I told right?"

"Yes, ma'am. The key to a man's heart is his stomach."

"That's right, especially Shawn. The poor boy is a black hole, he eats like he's never eaten in his life."

"Yes, ma'am, he does." I hold back a laugh as a dirty thought pops into my head.

"You staying for dinner?"

"Oh no I have work tonight at the hospital but I would like a plate for my lunch break."

"Now you know you were gonna get one, stop playing girl."

"Thank you, mama." I laughed and kissed her cheek before going over to King. I had known Shawn and King for years since we were in elementary school days. We didn't really hang like that until we got around the end of high school but that was about five years ago. Shawn and I have been together that long and he and King run the neighborhood. They are drug dealers, have been since sophomore year so by now they both got bank and a decent amount of street cred. Miss Tonya was always like my mother because I was around a lot more than all the girls that King and Shawn ever dated. I don't have a real relationship with my birth mother so Mrs. Tyler took her place.

I noticed as I was talking to Miss Tonya that Shawn had disappeared but King had his eyes locked on me. Everything in me wanted to jump across the table on him and go wild as he looked at me and I looked back.
