Dating Innuendos

What guys REALLY mean

WTF?!

Are you way out of the loop when it comes to dating innuendos?

Dating innuendos have become the norm these days.

If you are like me and have either just recently joined a few dating apps or websites or have been on them for a little while, you start to see all kinds of acronyms or phrases.

Sometimes you will see them in a guy’s dating profile.

Or, after you get to know them and start texting they start to ask you some of those questions.

You don’t want to seem dumb so you sort of go along with it.

BAD IDEA!

You need to know what they are asking you before you go along with any of it.

Let me go over a few that I have run across and later found out what their meaning is.

Some of them may be shocking, but I feel this is "need to know information," and us girls need to stick together.

420 Friendly

No, this isn’t a cop code.

If a guy asks you if you are "420 friendly," he’s asking you if you smoke pot.

There’s a story behind how that phrase came about. It started back in 1971.

A small group of high school students came up with a plan to meet at a certain place and time to get together to smoke pot. The time was at 4:20 PM.

Later on, the repetition of meeting and smoking became the norm, and the teens decided to shorten the phrase just to 420 as a code word for meeting up at whatever time to smoke pot.

It caught on through the years and continues to this day.

Therefore, the next time you read or get asked if you are "420 friendly" you’ll know what it means and how to answer back.

D/S

No, this doesn’t mean "duration of status."

This dating innuendo means dominant/submissive.

If you’re still not sure what all that means, let me break it down for you a little bit more.

First, being dominant or submissive usually means within a sexual relationship.

The person that is "dominant" in the relationship is the one that likes to take control over their partner.

It’s usually the guy that likes to act sexual and in charge. For example, the guy ties you up and has his way with you.

Dominant/submissive

Next, the "submissive" is the person being tied up, i.e. you. The sex slave to the dominant.

It’s kind of like that movie 50 Shades of Gray sort of thing.

Just be careful messaging a dude with D/S on his profile.

That’s going to open up a whole new type of sexual conversation that you better be ready for!

Devotee

This one can really throw you off big time!

Again, it doesn’t mean that he’s devoted to or highly enthusiastic about football.

Nope, get ready… it means that he’s only sexually attracted to women that are missing a limb or someone who is paralyzed.

Yes, you read that right.

I just can’t make this up.

One time I messaged a guy with this on his profile.

I asked him which football team he was so devoted to. He answered back, “What?” Then asked me if I only had one leg.

It turned him on.

I couldn’t skirt around that one.

Next.

Lunchmeat Sandwhich

Seems innocent enough, right?

Wrong again.

The guy isn’t talking about what he had for lunch.

He’s talking about your vagina. Yes, this dating innuendo is slang for a woman’s vagina.

When a lunch meat sandwich represents a woman’s vagina…

Some guys have even told me that it can mean three people jammed together having sex, and I’m the one in the middle.

Therefore, the next time a guy asks you, “What does your lunchmeat sandwich look like?”, don’t tell him it looks tasty.

You just might get him really excited.

Netflix and Chill

Have you seen this a lot on a guy’s profile? Were you thinking, “That sounds nice, we can hang out together and watch a movie, seems harmless.”

STOP.

What it really means is "booty-call."

Yep, you read right. It’s slang for getting together and having sex.

First, it may start out the two of you on the couch watching the movie but I guarantee you won’t get five minutes into it before he’s all over you.

So next time you get asked, “Do you want to Netflix and chill?”

I recommend you ask him to take you out to a movie theater instead! Can’t really get sexually assaulted there.

DTW

No, this doesn’t mean he works at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.

Quite the opposite.

It’s a dating innuendo that means "down to whatever," which is similar to DTF, which means "down to fuck."

That means not only are they willing to fuck they are willing to do anything.

Hence, the acronym DTW or down to whatever.

I know, crazy right?? You gotta watch yourself, girlfriend.

And now I have saved the best for last. Drum roll, please…

Rim Goblin

Rim what??

You read it right, rim goblin.

No, this isn’t a guy that likes to go scuba diving along the Pacific Rim.

It’s far from that.

Think of him going scuba diving around your butthole.

This is a guy that loves to give and receive rim jobs more than usual.

And if you’re still not sure what all that entails, he usually likes to stick his finger, tongue, or dick in your butthole.

I can’t be anymore blunt than that!

This comes to the conclusion on some of the top dating innuendos I have run across.

You can check out a lot of the dating innuendos I mentioned above in the Urban Dictionary.

It’s my number one go-to when it comes to dating slang that I don’t understand.

Make it yours too!

I hope this helps you with your dating journey.

At least now you are more knowledgable, armed, and ready.

Hey, if you have happened to come across some other weird dating innuendos that I didn’t mention, I’d love to hear about them.

Drop me a comment at any time.

Don’t let any of this freak you out. Knowledge is power. GO FORTH… GO FEARLESS.
