Under the LGBTQ+ Umbrella
I don't feel that belonging to one marginalized group, the LGBTQ+ community, makes me some kind of expert on what it's like to be a member of another marginalized group. Hell, I don't even feel like I know what it's like to be another person from my own ever-expanding group—which I believe now is formally known as the LGBTQQIAPP+ community.

I, Animator
I rarely say I'm an Animator. I say that I animate or that I do animation, but I rarely claim the title of Animator. I should, I suppose. People hire me to animate their music videos, company promotions, poems, etc. I get paid for what I do. But I never set out to be an animator. The Other Side of Marriage Equality
I didn't get married on a whim. I know that some people were so excited about the prospect of finally being able to get married that they tied the knot when maybe it wasn't at the right time or to the right person. I didn't think I was part of that group.

The Lesbian Factor
I will be using the term "straight men" as I write this piece, so before I get any backlash, let me just say, I know—hashtag not all straight men. And technically, I probably shouldn't just be saying "straight men." I should be clarifying that I'm referring more generally to cisgender straight men, or more specifically, probably those who would identify as allocishet.
