Moonlit Passion

Short Story

A cold winter's night with a grey blue sky; the bitter wind knocking against the shutters of the sturdy cabin and the lone howl of an alpha wolf that pierced the empty air. Sam woke from his sleep, feeling better after spending several days bedridden with a vicious, unrelenting cold. The fireplace in the massive bedroom was aglow with beautiful flames that licked the lumber and warmed the room. Sitting up, Sam ran his fingers through his ashen brown locks and glanced around the room.

"Nathan?" he called out.

He heard shuffling from the other rooms then footsteps headed in his direction. A moment later, the bedroom door opened and the raven headed man stepped into the room, a relieved smile on his face as he laid eyes on Sam.

"You look better," he commented, striding over to the bedside. "How do you feel?"

"Great. I think I'm recovered now."

"That's a relief."

Sam smiled at him, noticing the navy blue mug being held out to him and taking it with both hands. The steam tickled his nose and cheeks, reddening them a bit. He blew gently on the dark liquid, raised the cup's rim to his lips and took a long sip, letting out a satisfied sigh as the calming green tea trickled down his throat. Nathan sat on the edge of the bed and Sam took a moment to look over his lover. Straight, jet black hair that fell like a dark veil in front of a nicely shaven face, piercing yet gentle emerald eyes that stared up at that wooden ceiling, a muscular build just right for a man of 30 that was covered in a long sleeved, dark green shirt, black sweats and no slippers of any kind. Sam wriggled his toes just looking at Nathan's bare feet. He set the mug down on the nightstand by the bed, catching Nathan's attention. Raising an eyebrow, he searched Sam's calm face as they locked eyes. There was a tension in the air but not the bad kind. Sam's cheeks reddened a bit more, he squirmed under the thick covers, a sudden heat rising in his body. He clutched the front of his shirt as Nathan leaned forward on his arm, bringing his face dangerously close to Sam's. He hesitated.

"Are you sure, Sam?" he asked in a husky voice that sent chills down Sam's spine. "You just got better."

Sam nodded his head, loosely wrapped his arms around Nathan's neck and let their noses touch ever so slightly. "If I get sick again, you'll take care of me, right?"

"Absolutely."

Without anymore hesitation, Nathan's arms slipped around Sam's lithe waist and pulled him into a feverish kiss. Sam happily responded, lacing his fingers through Nathan's black curls. Nathan gave a gentle nip to Sam's bottom lip, tracing it with the tip of his tongue. Sam parted his lips, allowing him access to his mouth and Nathan greedily plunged forward. Their tongues met and danced in a heated battle that made Sam's head fuzzy. Nathan explored every nook and cranny inside his mouth despite having done so multiple times before.

His large hands caressed Sam's sides and the two fell back onto the bed with Nathan on top of Sam, their legs intertwined as they continued the heavy liplock. Sam shuddered when he felt something hard rubbing against his lower half and gave a soft mewl, cursing the blankets, and Nathan's pants, that hid it. Nathan broke the kiss, buried his face against Sam's neck and started to bite and nip at his skin, leaving small hickeys here and there.

"Nathan..." Sam moaned out.

He received a deep chuckle from his lover. "Impatient as always."

"Because you like teasing me so much," Sam pouted, giving Nathan a light punch.

"Your body enjoys it, though."

Nathan leaned back and stripped off his shirt with a flourish, exposing his tanned upper body. His eyes gave off a primal vibe and Sam felt as if he could climax just from that gaze. Sam closed his eyes.

I wish our trip didn't have to end, he thought. Spending a month away from our families, our jobs, everything and just being with my beastly lover, it's such paradise.
